Expanding and Collapsing Levels

The branches of the object tree in the Contents of the Book or Index expand and collapse the same way as the folders in Windows Explorer, so you can see more or less of each branch's contents.

To Expand and Collapse Levels

  1. From the Book or Index contents, select an object which has descendants.
  2. To expand a branch so that you can see the object's descendants:
  3. To collapse a branch so that the object's descendants do not take up any room:

To Expand or Collapse All Levels

  • To expand or collapse all the branches of the contents tree at the same time, choose the Expand All or Collapse All buttons on the Contents toolbar.
