Staging

There are two distinct stages involved in creating and working with your website, Review and Live.

  • Review - is used for creating and editing experiences and content in Author-it Website Manager. The review mode is also used for viewing the website in a testing environment.
  • Live - when content has been confirmed in review it can be made live. The live mode is used to view the actual live website as your visitors see it.

Note: Updates to content and settings are made in Review mode only. Changes and updates are pushed through to live mode in the staging area.

In addition, the Staging area provides you with the ability to create a rollback point for live content. Author-it Website Manager creates a snapshot of the website at a specific time, and using the rollback point you can revert the live website to an earlier version.
