Placeholders

Website Manager dynamically builds a customized website as an end user experience using templates, content, and substitution rules.

Templates are created for each end user experience to provide a specific structure and look and feel for the webpages. Instead of containing the content found in the final webpage (text, graphics, navigation, functionality, etc), the template contains placeholders. The placeholder is a short text string between braces ({}). A set of substitution rules are created for each end user experience to identify the content that will replace each of the placeholders when the page is built.

Note: Existing webpages can be converted to templates by removing the content and replacing it with placeholders.
