Replacing One Object With Another

When you want to replace an object with another, in all of the object's relationships, Author-it makes it easy.

To Replace an Object With Another One:

  1. Make sure all objects which have a relationship with the object you are replacing are closed. If any are open, replacement will not happen.
  2. Select the object you want to replace.
  3. Select the Replace button from the Manage tab. The Select Object window opens.
  4. Select the object to replace the current one with, then choose OK to continue. Author-it changes all the first object's relationships so that they now point to the second one instead.
