Adding the Serial Number

When the installation process has been completed the Serial Number Validation must be completed.

Note: If you are using the evaluation version, this step is not necessary.

To Add the Serial Number:

1. Copy the license.lic file to the Author-it Website Manager folder on the web server (at the root level of the folder)

   

2. Open a browser window and add the URL to open Author-it Website Manager

   http://<domain>/awm/admin/index.php

   where domain is the domain and folder path to the Author-it Website Manager installation on the ISPs site or localhost if installed on a local machine

3. Add the Author-it Website Manager serial number

   

4. Choose Login
5. When the serial number is validated a confirmation screen is displayed.

   

Choose Login to open Author-it Website Manager. Once the serial number has been validated the Author-it Website Manager administration area can be opened.
