Installing on a Local Web Server Using Apache

The following steps cover installation on a local web server using XAMPP to install Apache, MySQL and PHP.

To complete the installation you will need the following files:

• XAMPP bundled installer
• MySQL Query Browser
• Author-it Website Manager installer
• Author-it Website Manager database structure file

Important: The default XAMPP installation is suitable for development purposes but not for secure production purposes. Consult the PHP Security Manual for information before making your website live.
