Changing an Object's Release State

Author-it's Release State feature lets you keep track of where a document component is in its life-cycle.

To Change an Object's Release State:

  1. Select the object in the Library Explorer or Book Contents.
  2. Right-click and choose Change Release State then select the release state you want to apply. Release States can be customized for your organization, so your Author-it administrator can tell you which states you need to use if you're unsure. You'll also need the appropriate security permissions to the release state.
