Publishing Content to Website Manager

When you're ready to publish your content from Author-it, select the book and publish using your Website Manager publishing profile. Website Manager creates HTML files, image files, and an XML file containing the information to build the sitemap.

Once publishing has completed, the content (topic files, image files, and Website Manager XML file) must be moved to the appropriate language folder in the Website Manager content folder on the web server. This is achieved using a publishing profile action.

If you are localizing your website translate the content as normal using Author-it Localization Manager. When the content has been translated, publish to Website Manager then upload the files to the appropriate sub folders in the Review > Content folder.

To Publish Website Content:

• From the Library Explorer, right-click on the book and choose Publish To > Website Manager

  From the Book Editor menu, choose Publish > Publish To > Website Manager

  -or-

  From the Author-it main menu, choose Publish > Publish To > Website Manager.

  Note: This option is disabled if there is no book open.
