Sorting Object Lists
When a Folder Contents or Search Results object list is opened in the contents pane on the right, the objects are grouped alphabetically by object type. When a list contains a large number of objects it can be easier to find them by sorting a column heading, for example, the description or the modified date. Selecting the column heading does the following:
- Object type: sorts alphabetically by Object type, such as Book, Topic, or File Object
- Description: sorts alphanumerically by the Object's name
- Based On: sorts alphabetically by the Template the object was based on
- Modified Date: sorts numerically by the Date the object was last modified
- Modified By: sorts alphabetically by the User who modified the object
- Code: sorts numerically by the Object code
- Version: sorts numerically by the Version number
To Sort the Contents in an Object List:
- Select the column heading to sort the objects by ascending order (for example, a-z, 1-100, or 25 June 2006-31 July 2006)
- Select the column heading a second time sort by descending order.
