Inserting an Existing Hyperlink

Using Author-it Live you can insert existing Hyperlink objects into topics. The Insert Existing Link dialog box includes search functionality to locate Hyperlink objects in the library.

To Insert an Existing Hyperink:

1. In the Topic Editor select the text you want to link from.
2. Choose from the Topic Toolbar to open the Insert Existing Link dialog box.
3. Type one or more words from the Hyperlink description and press the ENTER key to begin the search. A search results list is displayed under the search field listing all Hyperlink objects matching the search criteria.

   

4. Select the link from the list of results and choose Insert to add the link.
