Removing a Character Style from Text

Character styles are removed from text using the (clear) option in the character style list on the Styles Toolbar. This option removes the character style from the text, but leaves the underlying paragraph style intact.

To Remove a Character Style from Text:

  1. Select the text you want to remove the character style from.
  2. Choose (clear) from the Character styles list in the Styles Toolbar.

Note: Using (clear) in the Paragraph Styles list removes all formatting from the text in that paragraph, and the base paragraph style must be reapplied.
