Clearing Object Locks

In some situations locks may not be removed from objects in the library. If locks are not cleared automatically your library administrator can use the Author-it Administrator to forcibly clear the object locks. We recommend that you inform all users if possible before you take this action, to help maintain harmonious working relationships with them.

To Clear Object Locks:

1. Open the library using Author-it Administrator.
2. Choose Maintenance > Clear Object Locks and Sessions from the main menu.

   The following dialog box is displayed, choose the Offline Users tab.

   

3. Select individual user sessions to clear by selecting the check box in the leftmost column, or select the Clear all offline library object locks check box.
4. Choose OK to clear the locks.
