The Content Panes

The content panes are used for displaying the home page, search results, the Topic Editor, a folder's object list, and setting general library options. Author-it Live caches the content you have been working with during the session, so when you re-open the Search, Topic Editor, or Folder the last search results, topic, or object list is displayed. This enables you to switch between panes at any stage during your session without losing your work.

Content panes

The content panes are opened by clicking on the buttons on the Library Toolbar (located at the top right of the Author-it Live interface).

This button		Does this

		Opens the Search Object List, displaying the results of a search.
		Opens the Topic Editor, used for working with a topic's content.
		Opens the Folder Object List, displaying the contents of a selected folder.
		Opens the Options pane, displaying general library options and information.
		Opens the Split view, displaying last search results or object list above the Topic Editor.
		Used to close Author-it Live Editor and browser window.
		Opens the Author-it Knowledge Center in a new window.
