Understanding Task Folders

Tasks are listed alphabetically in Task Folders in the user's Tasks pane in the Library Explorer. Choose the Task button on the navigation pane to display your Task list.

Released Tasks

Tasks appear in folders according to their progress through the life cycle:

  • Pending Tasks are tasks that have been released, or are waiting for prerequisite tasks to be completed. This includes tasks that have been recently assigned to you, or any of the user groups you are a member of. Tasks must be accepted before you can begin working on them, and move them to the next folder.
  • New Tasks which you have accepted but have not yet made progress on (shown as 0% complete).
  • Current Tasks are any tasks that you have accepted and have made progress on.
  • Rejected Tasks are any tasks that you have rejected.
  • Tasks Pending Approval are the tasks are waiting for approval before they are shown as completed (that is, shown as 100% complete).
  • Completed Tasks which have been completed and approved, if an approver was specified.
