Working with the Translation Export Wizard

The Translation Export Wizard automates the process of localizing a Book to multiple locales using a step-by-step wizard. The wizard includes functionality to:

• Select Books to localize
• Select the languages to localize to
• Specify translation overrides if required

A translation job creates an XML file for each master Book, with the option to create separate translation job files for each sub book. A Book can represent an entire user manual or a single chapter of the manual. If individual chapters need to be translated the chapter should be created as a Book.

Two types of translation job can be created using the wizard:

1. A standard translation job is created when content is sent to the vendor for translation. When this type of job is created the Translation Override step is not used.
2. If content requires re-translation (due to errors in the original translation), create a separate job for each book and use the Translation Override step to add the content.
