Reverting to an Earlier Revision of an Object

The History tab is used to view, compare, and revert to previous revisions of an object.

If you have saved changes to an object but need to revert an earlier revision, you can do this from the object's properties window. The history tab lists each saved revision of an object with a link to the properties at that time. By selecting View next to a revision the properties window is opened so you can compare the changes made to the object. The window also contains the option to Revert the object back to that revision.

To Revert to an Earlier Revision of an Object:

1. Open a Topic or Book's object properties window and display the History tab.
2. Select View to display the object properties for the revision you want to revert to.
3. Choose Revert. The Revert Object message box is displayed. Choose OK to close the message box and continue. Once the object has been reverted a confirmation box is displayed. Choose OK to close the confirmation message box and object property windows.
