Object Settings

There are four options that can be applied to folders and objects before the offline library is created. Right-click the folder or object and select an option from the shortcut menu. Note: You can multi-select objects and apply the offline options.

  • Make Folder Available Offline: use this option to include individual folders in the offline library. Objects in the folder appear in the offline library as read only.
  • Make Descendants Available Offline: use this option when you want to include a parent folder and its child folders in the offline library. Objects in the folders appear in the offline library as read only.
  • When Creating Offline Library - Checkout: apply this option to objects you want to edit in the offline library. Objects that are checked out are added to the offline folder.

You can also apply this option to a folder when you want all objects in the folder to be checked out. When you apply this option to the folder it is marked for check-out but the objects are not moved to the offline library folder.

  • When Creating Offline Library - Don't Checkout: this option is used to exclude objects or folders from the offline library, for example, if you decide no longer want to include an object use this option to remove the checked out status.
