Author-it Xtend User Options
The Author-it Xtend options define the settings used to find and return suggested fragments.

The Author-it Xtend window is divided into the following settings:
- Active Suggestions: settings that define the content Author-it Xtend searches for, and the weighting ratio slider used to set the type of matching used by Author-it Xtend.
- Similarity Highlighting: settings that define the color bands applied to similar content.
Active Suggestions
Weighting Ratio Slider
Use the slider to choose the type, and level, of match you want to use.
- Fuzzy matching: looks at the similarity of the fragments and makes a comparison based on words common to both fragments and the order in which they appear in both fragments.
- Relevance matching: looks at the similarity of the fragments and makes a comparison based on words common to both fragments. Relevance matching does not take into account the order of the words. Relevance matching returns a larger number of suggestions, but may be less suitable.
Similarity Highlighting
- Text Fragment Highlighting: displays the highlighting bands used by Author-it Xtend to indicate reused content and levels of similarity between fragments. Highlighting colors can be modified, and additional user-defined fuzzy match bands can be added.
