Viewing Usage in Topic Objects

You can view which variables are used in a particular Topic object at any time.

Viewing Variables Used in a Topic Object:

1. Open the Topic in the Editor and choose Edit > Variables > List

   -or-

2. In the Library Explorer select the Topic, then:
   • Right-click and choose Variables > Show Variable Usage...

     -or-

   • Choose Author > Variables > List Usage

     The variable usage window is opened displaying the variables used in the Topic object.

     

     Note: From this list, you can right-click any variable and view its usage in other Topic objects.

3. When you have finished viewing choose OK to close the Variable Usage window.
