Using Exclusion Rule Logic

In the following scenario two exclusion rules have been created - one that will exclude topics in the Draft release state from being published (regardless of where they are stored), and one that will exclude topics located in the X1000 folder from being published.

The ACME Research Specification book for updates to products, includes topics located in the X1000 and X2001 folders that are currently in several release states.

The content that will be included in the published book is dictated by the criteria logic applied to the exclusion rules.

• Choosing ALL, the more restrictive of the two options, excludes those objects that are located in the X1000 folder that are currently in the Draft release state.
• Choosing ANY excludes all objects that are in the Draft release state and all objects located in the X1000 folder.
