Aspect

The Aspect action is used to set the parameters required for importing .aspect files from the server's content folder into the Aspect database.

Note: Before setting up the Aspect action ensure you have created the FTP or Move action to transfer the files from the publishing folder to the Aspect content folder on the server.

Publishing Profile's Aspect Action

To Create an Aspect Action:

  1. Open the publishing profile and select the Actions tab.
  2. Select the Aspect action.
  3. Enter a description for the action.
  4. Add the base URL used for the installation of Aspect (for example, http://[web server name]/Aspect)
  5. Add the Server Import Path. This points to the server location for the folder containing the .aspect files.
  6. Test the connection. When the connection is successful choose OK to save the action.

The action is created in the Before Publishing list. To move the action to the After Publish list select the action and choose the Move Down arrow. Ensure the Aspect action is listed after the FTP or Move action. Save the changes to the profile.
