Index Entries Toolbar

The Index Entries Toolbar provides quick access to the most commonly used commands in your index. With the mouse you click on a button once to carry out a command. You can access other commands by using the shortcut menu (right-click).

This Button		Does This

	Promote	Promotes the selected object to be at the same level as its parent in the hierarchy.
	Demote	Demotes the selected object to be the first child of the object immediately preceding it in the hierarchy.
	Move Up	Moves the selected object before its preceding object in the hierarchy.
	Move Down	Moves the selected object after the object following it in the hierarchy.
	Expand	Expands the hierarchy to reveal the children of the selected object.
	Collapse	Collapses the hierarchy to hide the children of the selected object.
	Expand All	Expands the entire contents hierarchy to reveal all objects.
	Collapse All	Collapses the entire contents hierarchy to hide all but the top level objects.
	New Index Entry Object	Creates a new Index Entry object.
	Open Object	Opens the selected Index Entry object.
	Remove Object	Removes the selected Index Entry object and all of its descendents from the contents of the Index.
