Creating a Target Library

Each Localization requires a Target Library.

A Target Library is a complete library containing objects that mirror those in the Source Library. Objects share the same object key but are completely "localized". Objects can then be translated, either directly in the Target Library, or externally and then imported.

Creating a Target Library is very similar to creating an offline library, except than any linked files are included with the Target Library as linked files rather than being embedded as an external resource. This allows for these files to also be localized where necessary.

To Create a Target Library:

  1. Open the Source Library with Localization Manager.
  2. Select the Localization you want to create a Target Library for.
  3. Choose Localizations > Create Update from the menu

    -or-

Choose Create Update on the Localizations toolbar

    -or-

    Right-click and choose Create Update.

    Create Library Instance

  4. Progress is shown as the Target Library is created.
