Translation Job Rules

Translation Job Rules control which objects are exported to XML for translation. For example, you may want to include all objects in a particular Book, or only objects in a specific Release State.

To Add Translation Job Rules:

1. Open the Job properties and choose Add. The Object Inclusion Rule window opens.

   

2. Enter your criteria to include or exclude objects and choose OK.
3. Select the Objects tab to view which objects will be exported to XML for the Translation Job. It is not just Topic objects that are included. Other objects such as the Table of Contents, Index, File and Media objects, also contain translatable content. If these aren't translated, English words will creep into the final document.
4. Repeat these steps to create additional rules.
