Publishing From a Target Library

Publishing from a Target library is almost the same as publishing from any other library, with a couple of small exceptions:

  • External File Locations

Files external to your Library (such as Word templates, HTML templates and linked graphics) are stored in sub folders under your Localization folder. These folders have names that are an abbreviated version of where the file was originally stored. The path to this external file that you see inside an object is not the location that the Publisher will actually look for it.

  • Publishing Folder

The folder your published output is created in will now also contain the name of your Localization. This is to prevent the English version overwriting the French (or vice versa) when you publish.

To Publish from the Target Library:

  1. Open the Target library using Author-it.
  2. Select the Book in the In the Library Explorer.
  3. Choose Publish > Publish To and choose the profile you want to publish to.
